The cider house

A Family Cider House

Deeply rooted in the land Mayenne, Les Vergers de la Rouérie offer unique ciders which reflect the know-how of the Ruault family. It's more than two decades of making farm ciders , driven by Marie-Jo and Régis who planted the first apple trees.

It is now a complete range of cider products that our cider house makes you discover: farm ciders, apple juice, spirits, vinegar, compote.

Over the years, the family experience grew rich, which is how Samuel took over from his parents in 2011. Today the family adventure continues with the arrival of his wife. The couple will have only one idea in mind: to offer you quality local products , worked with passion.

Our engagements

With more than 12 hectares of orchards which will be labeled Organic Agriculture in 2023, the farm is rich in about fifteen varieties of apple trees allowing the development of organic farm ciders and apple juices with the greatest respect forenvironment.

Know-how for quality products

Inasmuch as producer-harvester, our work begins with the planting of our apple trees and the maintenance of our 12 ha of organic orchards (mowing, tree pruning, etc.) Each step is essential to obtain quality fruit and improve our harvest which takes place from September to December. Once the apples have been picked up, our job then consists of pressing them to extract the juice and thus begin the process of fermentation of our farm and organic ciders . A stage during which it is essential to carry out regular checks and analyzes before bottling and marketing. A long and meticulous work that we carry out with passion .

Ciders but not only…..

Each year, Mélanie and Samuel distill their ciders to obtain cider brandy. It is then aged in oak barrels for several years to obtain the Fine du Maine.

We also use it to carry out the manufacture of our iconic appetizer the Pommeau du Maine. A delicious blend of apple juice and Fine du Maine.
